How to Donate
The LDFB has a significantly greater buying power than the average individual. The LDFB has partnerships with farmers,
grocery stores, and other retailers and are able to purchase at a reduced rate. This gives
us the opportunity to provide our clients with nutritional balanced hampers consisting of eggs, dairy, and fresh produce along
with all the generous non-perishable donations we receive.
Food Banks Alberta - Give Healthy - April 16-31, 2018 marks the first year for this campaign in Alberta. This will allow donors to purchase fresh food online for donation to local food banks. feedalberta.com #givehealthy "because hunger is a health issue"

ATB Cares makes it easy for all Albertans to support the causes they care about. Your charity of choice receives 100% of your donation through this site and ATB will match 15% of every dollar donated to Alberta, non-religious charities to an annual limit of $200,000. Corporate Matching - Many corporations will match their employees charitable giving. Continued support from organizations
and their employees make a significant impact to those who need the assistance of the LDFB. Check with your employer and see if they have a giving program of either monetary or volunteer time.

In Memoriam/ In Honor Gifts - In Memoriam and In Honor gifts is a way to make tribute to or remember a loved one while
making a difference in your community.
An in Memoriam donation is made to honour the life of a loved one who has passed. We will send a card to the family telling them a donation has been made to LDFB in memory of the deceased family member. This form of donation is also available through Canadahelps.org.
Make a donation to a loved one in Honor of a Birthday, Anniversary, Graduation, Retirement, Christmas or any number of other occasions. We will send a card to the honouree telling them of your gift to the LDFB in their name. This form of donation is also available through CANADAHELPS.ORG .
LDFB relies on the generosity of individuals, community groups, schools, churches and corporations. Your continued support helps us build food security within our community. Assiting us in bringing nutritious food to those in need.

Large donations can be drop off directly at LDFB. With large donations when possible please call us in advance.
We want to ensure all your donations make it to those in need, so to prevent waste please avoid donating items
- not made in a certified environment such as home baked-goods or food prepared in the home,
- personally wrapped meats
