We would like to express our gratitude to Hershey's and Food Banks Canada for providing the Kids Can Cook Kits and the new commercial dishwasher for our Kitchen Learning Centre.

Just over 40,000 lbs of food has been collected from our Fall Food Drives across the region.

Thank you for your support!

Thank you to the following organizations for helping us enhance our Tools for School program in 2019.

This year, along with school supplies and backpacks, we were able to give gift cards supplied by Coldwell Banker Haida Realty, the Air Canada Foundation and Leduc Santa's Helpers to help families purchase other items (such as shoes or a coat) that we haven't previously been able to provide.

“Paradies Lagardère is excited to launch this partnership with Leduc & District Food Bank at the Edmonton International Airport,” said Gregg Paradies, president and CEO, Paradies Lagardère. “We believe that our community is not only coast to coast, but global as well. We’re always looking for new opportunities to make a positive and impactful difference in the lives of our employees, business partners and customers.”

Beginning June 17, travelers, as well as airline and airport employees, will have the opportunity to purchase and donate convenience foods, healthy snacks, HABA, beverages, and other items the customer may want to purchase for donation, which will then be distributed to the Leduc & District Food Bank.

Many sponsored helped make the purchase of this refrigerated truck possible.  This truck will help the Leduc Food Bank and partners increase our ability to provide perishables in our programs.

The Leduc & District Food Bank was excited to receive a large donation from the provincial government early in March.

The food bank received $400,000 dollars from a Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) large grant. According to the Province of Alberta website, the CFEP, “Provides financial assistance to acquire, build, purchase, repair, renovate, upgrade or expand sports, recreational, cultural or other related public-use community facilities.”- The Leduc Rep, March 22, 2019
